Chef Gets an Obamacare Letter from the IRS (Shared Responsibility) Although he already paid HIS Obamacare Tax
So Chef gets an Obamacare "you owe us $265" from the IRS.
1. Chef doesn't have insurance for himself
2. Chef claimed OSS who turned 18 last quarter of 2014 on his taxes as per the CO
3. Chef paid his "shared responsibility tax"
So here is a bill with NO explanation.
The only thing I can think of is they believe that OSS was NOT insured simply because Chef wasn't. Which isn't true. Skids converted to her cadillac very low cost insurance about six years ago (BM works as a CPS worker in her county) when Chef lost his health insurance.
SO. . .Chef's attorney can't even get a signed 8332 form out of the Gir so he can claim SD stb 17 for the 2015 taxes nor alternating YSS when the time comes.
Backstory: Because Chef had zero legal representation during the lopsided mediation agreement, CO and divorce, Chef got suckered into claiming only the oldest of the three children. Now that the oldest has emancipated himself, It's down to two kids.
What are the odds that he can get proof that OSS was insured under the BM's policy for year 2014? If you guessed zippo, you'd be correct!

The BM can contact your insurance company and ask for a letter of eligibility to be sent for her child only. They may make her jump through some hoops proving she is the parent of your dependent and they won't give her your protected information, but they can disclose her child's eligibility.

If your oldest SS is 18, he can call his insurance company directly and ask for an eligibility letter with his effective and end dates. Maybe that will be good enough for the IRS?
Also, most insurance companies have an online portal for providers to verify coverage that will show effective and end dates, so your SS's doctor (or really any doctor) could print that out, that might work.
