Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Bet you can't wait to celebrate that! LOL!
They hooked up
They hooked up on Valentine's Day? Can we say walking cliche? (gag) I am guessing it was a "we are both lonely" drunken fumble as opposed to a hearts and flowers "walk down memory lane."
They were married
but did the horizontal mambo on 2/14/98 resulting in SD 9 months to the day who he is still paying for. Very costly mistake! They bred again to "save the marriage" resulting in YSS16, aka the house shitter.
Chef admits after the Gir aborted their first child then had the 2nd one (OSS) the marriage was over. Why they planned to breed again was a mystery. At least i was wise enough not to serial breed in a bad marriage!
Valentine's day so far so
Valentine's day so far so good here... Anniversary a week after... We shall see though. Last year SD10 went off about how one year "daddy got the fake mom a giant stuffed elephant" *eye roll* And the one before that Dh was telling me valentine's day was "about the kids" *Even bigger eye roll*
Here's to hoping it doesn't suck quite as hard for you this year!
Vividly remember
Vividly remember the first Valentine's Day when we had the skids. It had been an insanely long road to get them out of BM's constant clutches and DH was still over the moon to be able to have them in his home for decent periods of time. But being informed that Valentine's Day was suddenly "for them" was head snapping. Say what??? I think that was probably the first of countless fights over the fact that it is reasonable to put a spouse first sometimes regardless of what BM says and that I did not appreciate the bait and switch after years of helping him overcome the PAS to get formal custody rights.
Wait . . . who is she
Wait . . . who is she referring to as the "fake mom?"
