2019 Is Off To A Roaring Start for YSS!
Here are some of the lowlights.
1012/20/201812/18/2018 Disrespectful to Staff Member/Detention
1011/27/201811/19/2018 Excessive Tardiness to school/Warning
1011/5/201811/2/2018 Failed to report to detention as directed/Detention
He's been "disciplined" for constantly skipping and showing up late. By disciplined I mean he's been given possibly the frowning of a lifetime by the school administrators and that is all. Obviously the Girhippo has tuned all of this out because she has him labeled as "learning disabled--other" and so not showing up for class is ALL part and parcel of being "learning disabled--other" in her opinion.
"YSS16 was asked to stay after the bell for one minute to discuss his use of class time. He refused. He was told to wait and said that he was leaving and going to his next class. Several inappropriate comments about other students and faculty have been made and a lot of class time has been provided to work on assignments and it has not been utilized."
"YSS has had many warnings. i have previously reached out to his mother (Editor's note: HA!!!) about getting him caught up in class and focusing on his attitude. I have reached out to his counselor many times."
Comments:Will stay after for detention with Mrs. SchoolTeacher" (no he won't'; he'll skip detention like he always does)
His grades are abysmal; SO many zeros from missing assignments it is blinding!
I feel like contacting poor Mrs. SchoolTeacher: "Dear Mrs. SchoolTeacher, as my letter to the "disability board" so eloquently pointed out, his "mother" couldn't care less as long as the CS keeps rolling in."
*slow clap for the Girhippo*

He sounds like a treat
He sounds like a treat
He has never
Been parented or told no.
I would send that letter.
I would send that letter. Why not? At least it gives the teacher a clue.
Before we got custody of SD, her teacher called looking for my husband, I told her he was not home and to call his cell. The poor lady was like "look this girl is failing 5th grade, is hardly ever here, I can't get her mother to talk to me or her father and I'm worried that there is something more going on!"
I told her that as the SM we had seen changes in SD lately and that it appeared meth mouth (hadn't been arrested yet at that time) was having problems. We talked for a good 20 minutes and I told her flat out, my DH was a disney dad and meth mouth seemed ditzy. You could hear the relief in the teachers voice of finally having somebody validate her.
Can you write the teacher and
Can you write the teacher and say "Not my circus; not my monkeys"?
