The boys came back home today.
As usual, no manners, leaving a mess wherever, arguing with DH and I. That is the big one. The arguing.

They have been home 5 hours and while I love being with them, it is annoying to say the least. But it is all a part of this process. Things will be fine in 2 weeks.
SS9 has taken up arguing with us more than usual. He knows that he has to say "please" and "thank you" to get anything. He knows no more than one lego contraption in the living room (our house is not large). He knows not to drag his hand across the labels in the grocery store.

I used his full name and he STILL argued with me. So, we had that quick "this isn't Kansas anymore Toto" moment and so far so good. It is just frustrating.
They visit BM and her parents and the boys receive zero guidance nor structure. What happens? They come back trying to manipulate everything!
It's the Disneyland Dad thing that everyone here on ST complains about but the Disneyland Mom thing instead. But I think it is worse.

But I shall remain calm.

I am just happy they are home.
