SS5 IS AT IT AGAIN!!!
I have actually been trying really hard to be the loving SM to my SS5. Once again..it gets me no where. This morning has already started off pretty bad. I get the SKs up for school (my two are at their dads this week) and I see my BS3 money jar empty and a $1 bill rolled up on the dresser (no coins are to be found)...I asked "what happened to BS3 money?" SD10 said, "I don't really know, while you were at school last night BS3 came to my room crying saying that SS5 dumped BS3 money in the toy box." I go to the kitchen where SS5 is eating breakfast and asked him the same question. His response (while stuttering) "BS3 dumped it in the toy box, I saw him." I think over and over to myself...(my BS3 would not do that, he ADORES HIS MONEY AND JAR!) I told SS5, "I'm sorry I don't believe you because you have lied so many times in the past about everything so when you get home from school today you are going to dump out the toy box and find his money and put it back." Of course there was a lot of "I didn't do it" yelling back in forth..which didn't make things better. So I went in the room and dumped out the toy box and started looking myself, just so that I didn't have to hear him complain about it later. After it was all finished BS3 was still missing quit a bit of coins (mainly quarters from what I remember that was in his jar). By this time SS5 is in the room getting ready and I asked him again where the rest of it is...he just stands there and stares at me with no expression on his face and no answer. I had to ask several more times and I told him that I knew he was lying and he better tell me where the rest of it was. He said "BS3 slide it under the TV on the dresser." I looked and what do you know...there was a bunch of it! All quarters and a few dimes. I said "BS3 can't reach up there and I know that is where you hide your Tiger Tickets (money from school, that they can spend) so why did you lie to me?" SS5..no response just the blank stare on his face again (something I always get when I ask anything. I told him that he was in trouble and he wasn't going outside today to play. Fixing his bed..I find a skittles package with some candy still left in it stuffed in his pillow case. I asked him where he got those..blank stare. SO I had it, I yelled and asked "how did you get these and you better tell me right now!" SS5 "BS3 money." So earlier in the week he took more money out of BS3 jar to buy candy at school. Why in the hell is he doing this shit!!! I'm an just so upset! All this week, I have giving and giving (more candy and snacks than the usual), playing with the kids, not getting on to them so much (because I know I need to lighten up)..and then this happens. Why does this kid keep doing these things? DH says its because hes the middle child (one of them) and everyone treats him like crap. Are you kidding me...I see why everyone does! I'm not sure why or if the other kids even do..but as for myself, I don't treat him like crap..I treat him as equal to anyone else in this house that disrepects or lies to me. He just gets in trouble more because he can't STOP! Ah..I'm just so upset. It breaks my heart. BS3 is always sharing everything (candy, toys, etc) and loves everyone and to have his slightly older brother bully him in stealing from him.

Lying and stealing....
Lying and stealing.... doesn't get much better.
I feel for you on these -- I actually CAUGHT one of my SS's in the act of going in my DS's room and taking money out of his drawer then shoving it in his pocket. SS was 15 at the time, my DS was 10.
I was livid. Made SS go to his dad and hand it over. SS refused to fess up to what he did, telling his dad it was his to begin with. Whatever.
As for the "middle child" stuff? Nah, the kid just stole because he could.
