survived one storm, bigger one coming
Well today ss19 and gf move out. As a matter a fact while I am typing this ss19 is loading their truck. They got an apartment and bm is (apparently) letting them take things from her storage unit to furnish their place. So yay, they're out the door!
The big storm that is brewing is that yesterday dh found out he has lymphoma cancer. He begins treatment next week, first have all the nodes removed and then chemo. What a terrible thing to have happen for him and this is so hard. This cancer is very treatable and we know that, but it's still such a blow. He's just freshly a grandpa and we just got married and he is so full of living life right now. I guess that is the attitude that will carry him through to better health.
The part for me is not only is he my new husband but how the hell am I going to handle all this financially while he goes through treatment. We are for sure going to have to move into a smaller place so my income can afford to pay rent/bills. We just moved into this bigger house in March, but now with our family shrinking down to just two teenage boys we can downsize from this 4 bedroom to a 3 bd rambler.
Anyhow, thanks for listening everyone. I might talk more about this but only b/c this forum is so supportive in more areas then step issues.
I appreciate all of you.

I'm praying for you guys. At least they are out because your DH does not need the added stress. My sister just had a double mastectomy and needs chemo now. It's so hard.
I just got back from my first
I just got back from my first shift of the day and yes ss19 and gf are gone but they left behind a ton of garbage and filth. I'm not sure if I should make a stink or quietly clean it up on my one day off tomorrow I have had in 2 weeks. Probably for DH's sake I will quietly clean it up. I am hanging lights tomorrow and buying dh the slippers he's wanted for a long time for c.mas.
I did cry driving home. I am tired and overwhelmed.
