Haven't posted much. Been working a lot and hanging out with the kids. Ss15 has been with me a few times off and on since I moved out. When he came for summer visit, BM let him keep the debit card which is the one he recieves cs on. It is pistes to the card every 30 days since its state-to-state( just something their home state does with out of stAte cs. ) anyways, the kid came down with over 600$ ... Stayed on Internet and blowed ALL of it within 4 wks!!! Stayed on Internet buying junk... Only brought 3 changes of clothes (saying he had outgrown everything else) and now expects dad to pay for new clothes, socks, etc ... I'm staying out if it but this is pathetic!! Would you agree to let a 15 yr old control that kind of money in cs?? What is the BM thinking???

I am guessing this is one of the reasons you moved out. She lets him blow the CS, then cries he needs A,B,C and etc.

I honestly had no clue until this visit that he was getting free control over the cs. I moved out because I couldn't stand bring in same horse with him and his Disney dad. But I sure as heck will not let my own bio son that's 15 have control over cs. The kid just blew threw 300$ on a video controller. But needs clothes... Go figure...

Just because she gave him the money, doesn't mean she gave him the green to spend it that way.

She may have told him to spend a certain amount on clothes and use the rest for spending money when he goes out with dad.

She let him have it and never put restrictions on it. She lets him do whatever he wants. I can see letting him have some for spending but that's just too much to let him blow through then expect dad to basically pay double for what he needs. He's not made to use money responsibly because she caters to whatever he wants. He's her only child and is pretty much allowed to run the house when he's with her. Which is why we have issues here. He doesn't know respect or boundaries. My rules. My house. His dad is finally starting to see the issues. And that he's caused a lot of the problems but this one really irritated me. Keeping my mouth shut though. He needs to figure this one out on his own.
