My evil mind tricks are working!
So I dragged my tired cranky butt to the mailbox today, up the hill and through the rain *heh*, thinking about all the tedious things that must be done today, when I open the mailbox and find a strange envelope. It's addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Snarky, written in a child's handwriting, from SD's elementary school. Already forgetting my woes, I open the letter to find this:
Dear Dad and Snarky,
Hello, how are you doing? I am happy to be writing to you. When do you turn on octo? I usually turn him on after breakfast. Is the pool still freezing cold? I think it is still cold. Do you still have college school? I know that I am still in school. Did you have a good time in second grade? It is great in second grade for me. When you eat lunch Snarky? Dad, when do you eat lunch? I eat lunch at 11:00. What are we doing this weekend? I would like to go to the movies and see Tooth Fairy. What do you want to do? There is a lot of things to do. Do you know what we are doing on Valentine's Day? I would enjoy to go shopping to get gifts for the family. Our class is having a friendship party. I hope you write back soon.

My heart MELTED after reading this! On the back of the letter is a very well drawn picture of DH and myself, so cute I could've wet myself laughing. So it seems my evil stepmother mind tricks are working and the child *gasp* loves me and her daddy. (everybody say awwww). How do I know? well, all the SK's went to the same school and she is the ONLY one who sent us a letter from writing class.
