Update to I need help/advice - from zero to hero, overnight!
A few hours ago, I posted this blog : http://www.steptalk.org/node/178050
So, SD's came home, and SD12 waited for SD14 to go to the bathroom, before she gave me a very tear-filled "I'm sorry." about last night. That is usually the way it goes, after she is defiant. She really wants to be a good kid!
Anyways, they had snacks, and did some homework until Hubby got here to pick up SD12. When SD14 got done with her homework, I checked both girls grades online, to make sure that she didn't need to study anything else. (There is a rule that if they have anything lower then a C, they have to study that subject for an hour each night, until it is brought up.)
So, SD14 brought her D up to a C. Bet she wishes that she had asked me to check grades before she studied for that class.
SD12 brought her 17% up to a FRICKING A -! I called her, and told her about it. She said "You are the best stepmom in the world!"

I read you other post and thought "Damn, I wish I cared that much."
Seriously. I wish I cared that much. I don't want my husband's kids to be failures and come looking to us for help when they are adults. I should care when they (well, just Ss for now) slack off at school.

LOL, Mercury! I hope they don't come back!

Thank you, Skeeter! When I called SD12, she said "Why are you so mad?" LOL! I had to explain I was so excited and happy that I couldn't calm down! She's never heard me that excited before! LOL

I don't think that means I am a better person. I think it means that I am coming from different circumstances!
