sometimes it's hard to tell if SS7 is lying or just confused. I don't like lying and I have gotten on him about 'telling stories' in the past but BM called FDH yesterday, they chatted about the shoes that we forgot to send to her house (our bad) and she added that SS7 had told her that we were wanting to move into the country... in another state! So that he could play with his cousins. BM said she told him that wasn't right and he insisted that it was.

Now we did talk to SS7 last week about some things.

I am painting the hallway this week and he asked me to pain a mural on his bedroom wall but I told him no. I explained that in a few years we were hoping to move out of the city so we could have a bigger yard (and house) so I didn't want to do too much to this house - I am working on paint every room a simple solid color. He asked me again a few time during the week to paint his room like the one he will have someday.

Where his cousin come into play I guess is that we had also talked about going to see my family (in that other state) so he could play with his cousins... for the wedding in the fall. Now I don't want to tell BM that part, not confirming any dates with her.

This isn't the first time that SS7 had gotten us 'in trouble' by making something up. Grant it BM didn't seem too mad, I don't think she believed him 100% but he argued with her (she really needs to put her foot down) so she wanted to confirm that it wasn't true.

But SS7 gets it from BM. She is a lair and a 'storyteller'. I have told SS7 not to say something if he isn't 100% sure it's true. He likes to look at animal books and tell me all sorts of things that they do, half of which he reads in the book the other half he makes up based on the pictures. BM doesn't police it though, i think this is the first time that BM called to check BEFORE getting completely tick off about it first. She used to just believe everything that he said. He has told her that we are moving before, that we were getting married (before we got engaged) and that I was pregnant. All of which she flipped out about.

Also should we set SS7 down when he comes back and explain it to him - again?
