O/T Beanie boy quit!

Shieldmaiden's picture

Hey all,

I came back from the weekend to a great surprise this week. Beanie boy, the millennial boy wonder - is leaving our department. He decided a desk job was too much for his ADHD, so he is off to another job where he can chase squirrels and marvel over shiny objects. Yay! No longer will I have to step over his body on the floor, while he naps or plays with legos or wails about his lot in life as he eats slop from the taco truck that will end up stinking up our trash can.

Let's hope the new employee  has a bit more world-weariness. I chatted with another employee who will be working with Beanie boy in his new department, and that guy said Beanie boy told them how "stressful" it was working in our office because he "had to actually talk to people." Whoa! You had to TALK TO OTHER HUMANS? NOOOO!"  I get it. I hate people as much as the next gal, but we don't even have to talk to customers here. We only dispatch drivers and talk to business contractors. The social rule of thumb is: be consistently honest and kind to people, but don't take any of their crap. If you do that, those that are decent people will respect you, and those that aren't - can pi$$ off. Our bosses are cool and they will support us if we need backup. What more can you ask for?

So, I am happy the big baby is gone. I hope we get an adult to replace him. I wish him luck with his career of solitude.

Don't you just love it when a pita employee moves on.  Huge sigh of relief.

HOLY MOLY that's what the person I managed said too!  To ME her MANAGER severl times over!

"...how "stressful" it was working in our office because he "had to actually talk to people."  She said this! And she wasn't a "people person" and didn't like interacting with others. W.T.F and why did you take this job then?!

She ended up quitting the day after she was presented with her performance improvement plan.  Good!

that Master Beanie wasn't fired. Who lies down on the floor for a nap at work during the day?  Note: I did have lie down on a sofa back in the day when I was working on a project that had to be done by a deadline and we were working flat out for about 36 hours but it was an extreme circumstance and over the weekend.

Is the Beanie baby related to someone that he hasn't been escourted off the premises???
