My Father, just past away & my SM past a few years ago, they had written up a will but it was never signed. 90 Days after SM passed Father had her removed from all his Assets. he left no will for us children, nor for the step children. He own a home a small piece of land and a few automobils, some running some not . most of my SM's Belongings he gave to her children. and a few things he kept, now he is gone and he had an insurance policy that stated that the Estate was the Benafisherary? so I had to barrow the Money to Lay him to Rest and now I am having to figure out what to do about all step siblings and how to proceed, I had a lawyer that my Father told me to go to, but he felled to do anything . after 4 months he told me he had to pass me on to another Lawyer. I was frustrated because Nothing had been done . Now I still have all his documentation and need to know how to proceed to get the Insurance Group to give me the check so I can pay my Friend back the money I had to Barrow to Lay my Father to rest . I am Lost as to what to do next . My natural siblings have left it all up to me and no one is giving me any help. I can't afford a Lawyer at this time. But we do not wish to sell our Father's home , due to Other Family member's living in it. we just want to get the insurance to pay so I can pay back my Friend ? can any one Help me or steer me in the right direction? Pleas I am new at this and I am running out of time! ? Plus I dont know how to tell step siblings what is going on because I still dont know all my right's or their's. I am at a loss.
