SD has to cause chaos every day until she leaves apparently...
Last night I came home from dropping my DD12 at church and caught SD17 in our room looking through our stuff! I was furious to say the least and asked her what the freak she thought she was doing? She said she needed a bandaid and pointed to the one on her arm. Then she halled ass up to her room. Well DH was taking his final exams last night so I couldn't call him. When he got home I was furious and told him what she did. He goes upstairs to her room to confront her on his own and she denies the whole thing ever happened and said I was a liar. OMG...I was so ticked. This kid cannot leave soon enough. Please, I need some patience...

According to the Step Parent
According to the Step Parent Bill of Rights...you have every right to give her a verbal tongue lashing when she is in your stuff. Others may not violate my private space or stuff!
I'd put a lock on my door.
I'd put a lock on my door. One that requires a key. Its an inconvience but she can't go through your stuff.

I had DH put a lock on our bedroom door not too long ago, mainly because my stuff was disappearing, but it is a solution to one problem that you can control. I think the bigger problem is her denying it and saying you're a liar. I get that too. Did he believe her or you?
