Let the festivities begin

I'm looking pretty swanky if I do say so myself to go out for Puke's birthday lunch. Took extra time and effort on my makeup and hair. My outfit is rockin'.

Let's do this!

Puke is looking like a unkempt teenage. Hair looks barely brushed. She is driving everyone crazy.

Ok...here's the run down so far.

Went to a Japanese hibachi grill restaurant. I like going there. Puke didn't wear a jacket after DH and MIL told her she should and then complained she was cold the whole time. Typical. Then we went shopping. I hung with MIL while DH stayed with Puke. I always have fun with MIL. Bought some clothes and makeup. I stayed clear of Puke most of the day. Let DH and MIL fawn over her.

Really tried today to be extra cordial to Puke. Even gave her a hug and wished her happy birthday. DH really appreciated it.

Puke looked like she rolled out of bed except for her makeup. She is obsessed with makeup. Her hair was greasy, stringy and not brushed.

Tonight we'll have pizza and I will reward myself with an adult beverage. Think I deserve it after what I had to endure today. Not easy being so fake.

I was the only one with a jacket on. DH and MIL had on long sleeves. Puke had on short sleeves. She kept saying it wasn't that cold outside and then complained the whole time in the restaurant. No one felt sorry for her.

I didn't make anything. Ran out of time. Maybe I can throw something together before she leaves tomorrow night.

Oh I almost forgot. After MIL left, I made sure to walk hand and hand with DH while we finished shopping. There was even one time they had to wait on me cuz I wasn't done looking. Are you waiting on me? I'm sooooo sorry...NOT. bwah haha

Yesterday Puke literally spent all day in her room except for when DH took her to a store. DH and I had a good day together watching movies.

Puke spilled a little soda on her bed. I didn't get upset. She has to sleep on it so her problem.

I'm shocked at how much I don't care.

"I'm shocked at how much I don't care." feels great doesnt it!!!! Blum 3

i'm so glad the day went well for you Smile yes, faking is exhausting, but let the outcome give you motivation to fake it even more next time!

ps - isnt she old enough to know that restaurants are ALWAYS cold? i will never go out to eat w/o a jacket, even if it's 95' outside.

It's liberating. DH is so appreciative to me for being so nice (fake) to Puke. Have to say she hasn't even tried with me. I think DH has noticed this.

She may be 16 but still acts like 12 and thinks she's 28.
