SO is caught up

Such a relief. SO is finally caught up with the on his child support. Only bad thing is because of the way the system tracks things and the mail it won’t all catch up till next month. We go into this month looking like he owes over 500 but they haven’t documented the credits he gets for the summer and the payment that will be sent tomorrow. So come September they’ll need to pay him back money.

So how long till BM calls b*tching because she isn’t getting the extra anymore? Step Dad is already posting on Facebook about how finically strapped they are while BM is bragging about doing a weekend scout camp with the kids that cost over 600 per person…… Guess she’s forgetting she doesn’t get SO’s taxes anymore?

I'm really hoping she'll be stupid enough to try and get child support reexamined.... Out state changed the formulas and if she does she'll get less. We've been waiting becuase a little bird told us BM has been taking courses to get her CNA which would improve her pay at work. If we did the request now he'd pay maybe 600 less a year but if we wait....

North Korea waited until after oldest SD aged out.  She was older than 18 and then she went back to court to ask for more child support.  He was just going to keep on keeping on paying her $1000 a month.  Not only did her child support get knocked in half, but all this credit was given to DD6's dad so child support ended several months early before youngest SD's 18 birthday.  She also lied and when asked what she did for a living, she said she was an "Independent contractor."  She owns her own hair salon and does clients hair.  The lawyer actually said if she had been honest with her true income, she might have taken less of a hit.  It was a glorious day for me, I tell you.  I never smiled so big in my life the day she lost so fantastically in court and it was her own doing.

That is nice. We've been back and forth about going for an adjustment but we're afaird of her lying about a few things and we're really just wanting to go to court anyways. Well request it if we find out she does get her degree but if not it's really not enough for the headache.

I'd not go to court asking for reduction of CS because she'll play games and there's also a chance it will go to her favor because it often does. She'll play poor and destitute and these poor children. Etc

she is going to be better off after becoming CNA? In my state it's such a low pay that I can't imagine anyone bettering their financial situation by becoming CNA, honorable job but it pays peanuts. Is she living on minimum wages now? Also why is she getting a degree to be CNA. It's not a degree program whatsoever. it's a short certification course

judges don't care that she has a degree. My DH had to pay spousal support because as judge said it her degree was "feel good degree" and she needed 8 years of alimony to stand on her feet with that "useless" degree. No degree is useless,  but apparently our court system thinks otherwise

Yes where she works it will increase her pay. Our state now calculated based on BOTH parents income. If she makes more she is responsible for more of the cost of the children which will reduce his child support. I get its not a college degree and misspoke. She's been taking the course.
