Round three....ding ding ding....

So last time that we went for custody we settled and got more time. We had to quit because we ran out of money for the attorney. Now we have money to go back and really want to. But I was wondering what if we just went for 50/50 (equal days) no one pays support. That way we have the time that we want with him and so does she. I really don't think that she deserves it but we have a better chance of that. What do you think?

New SM, I was going to say the same thing Cruella mentioned. There should be calculators online for your state that allow you to punch in what each parent makes and the projected parenting time and should give you a rough estimate of how much CS you're looking at, if any at all. But depending on what each parent makes, CS could still be a factor despite 50/50.

We have 50/50 with the Wookie. DH pays is required to pay her $115 a month. It comes out of his check weekly, so we don't even notice such a small amount missing.

My Ex, however, because he doesn't want the kids more than every other weekend, is required to pay me a little over $700 a month.

We have 50/50 in GA and pay no child support. No one does. Easy schedule m-s. They get off the bus on Monday afternoon and go to whichever parent has them that week. Go for it, it has worked great for us and the kids are happier with this schedule. They like being at one house for longer periods of time. They like knowing where they are waking up in the morning. When the schedule was so convulated, that was their biggest complaint.
