Enjoying the fruits of my labor.....
I HAVE HER BACK!!! I FINALLY HAVE SD13stb14 BACK!!!!
Oh the period of time was rough but it's good to have my SD back. I always say that there's MY SD and BM's DD, and for a while there ...well since April, I've had the pleasure to raising BM's DD.
But, it's finally passed. She came to me the other day and as we were talking, her BM called. She quickly ended the conversation (she used to run up to her room, and stay there for several hours or hide out throughout the day to talk to her). Shortly after hanging up, she turned to me and said she was tired of her mom's drama and all the things that she was telling her. Another point, she left after talking wit me for several hours to head off to bed, and she turned around and said, "Thanks SM, I really enjoyed talking with you"
I never expected her to be perfect and I never had a grudge against her for anything, I just couldn't deal with her being so bratty and no one stepping up to the plate to take control of her. Everyone around kept saying "oh she's suffering from the effects of the divorce." To me that was always a pack of BS considering I was the same age as her when my parents divorced and I was not even an ounce as disrespectful and wild as she was acting. Nevertheless, its great to have my SD back. I missed her so much. She's a joy to have around.

Thank you so much for sharing
Thank you so much for sharing your story. It gives hope to those of us who are still battling this behavior. I wish skids like her could see their parent for who they really are AND that SM's are not asking them to stop loving their BM but to see us as caring and loving adults in their lives.
You truely are blessed!
