This is the stuff I don’t get.. small BM rant.
So she brought SD for the monthly nail appointment today. Picked her up at 9:45.. home by 11.
SD calls me at 2:30... "missk can we get our toes done tomorrow?" Me: "sure I'll call and make an appointment." Granted.. SD doesn't ask her but, you know the girl has graduation (8th grade) Tuesday.. why not OFFER to get her a pedicure too. I'll add BM has never taken SD for a pedicure.
SD still needs shoes for graduation planned on taken her today. I just got home (she must have mentioned this to BM in the car today) that she needed shoes. So SD says to me.."my mom found these (shows me ugly ass sandals hanging on a wall so cheap ones) and bought them so not sure you still want to got to DSW today."
I said: "well do you like them...?"
SD: "yeah.. but not sure if they will fit."
I said this (I just couldn't help it guys) why didn't she just bring you? SD just shrugged.
I said well is she bringing them here for you to try... SD said yeah either tonight or tomorrow.
OKKK...
Seriously though... you constantly guilt the girl but DONT DO ANYTHING.
UGH!

Your BM
Your BM is weird. I suppose she is TRYING to act like a mom. Are you still going shoe shopping? Or waiting to see how it pans out?
BM and her husband rolled up
BM and her husband rolled up to the house at 8:15 (they were clearly going out) SO and I didn't even know SD was outside and we were walking to our neighbors house (through the backyard.) We just kept waking. SD kept them so whatever. Thanks for the contribution BM!
Tbh, manis, pedis, waxes,
Tbh, manis, pedis, waxes, facials, salon treatments, electronics, cable, high speed internet, name brand clothing and accessories, tattoos, junk food, soda, starbucks, cigarettes, alcohol, are all things many adults think they need and are entitled to. They don't understand the difference between needs and wants. They have no idea how to live on a budget.
Imo, children can and should be trained to live without these things growing up, and can buy them when they are adults with their own money.
Not disagreeing there. This
Not disagreeing there. This will actually be my first pedi in 2 years... so not like it's an everyday thing.
Pedicures are required parenting now?
WTF? This is what you have to complain about? That the BM didn't do mother - daughter pedicures? My mother never took me for either a manicure or pedicure - that says absolutely nothing about her parenting. The problem DH had was BM scheduling mani-pedis on HIS time so he'd be the bad guy for making her cancel them. That's a real parenting issue. Your post sounds petty.
It would be petty if kids
It would be petty if kids lived with BM. They live with dad and SM and BM doesn't see them on a regular basis and when she does see them, it's always as brief as possible.
Under these circumstances it would be expected that BM at the very least take the girl shoe shopping or what not. Her visit was so short agsin it's funny
Exactly she was with SD for
Exactly she was with SD for little over an hour, dropped her off home, then went out shopping for herself (?), then sent SD a photo.. like you were actually with her.. why not just take her?
Yeah... apparently you aren't
Yeah... apparently you aren't aware of how my BM functions.. read my blogs if your curious.
FYI.. BM has gone months without seeing her kids and she lives 10 minutes away. This has nothing to do with mani/pedis on SOs time... LOLL SO's time has been 24/7 for over 3 years now.
What's even worse that SD feels awkward asking her mother for pedi while she is there getting her nails done... That's the real problem.
I can't believe you were
I can't believe you were called petty for wanting BM to do anything with the kid that is more than an hour. "On dads time". They live with dad!
I'm going to go with
I'm going to go with misinformed... I wasn't stressing. :)
