Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

That's how DH sees it too!
I do realize there's nothing I can do about it, so I'm trying not to be spiteful... but it still sucks. I'll probably mope around a little. Get out of the house and go shopping maybe.
Quite the gig they got ay?
Quite the gig they got ay? Gobs of free money coming in every month and a free built in babysitter to boot!

Wouldn't it be awesome if we could add verbage to a decree... If the NCP has the minor children for more than 10% over his designated parenting time without prior agreement in writing in on 30 day period the next CS payment will be directed to the courts for amendment and allocated accordingly. Exceptions will be designated on a case by case basis.
We all know how long that will take for the court to find a calculator, send someone out with a business credit card to Staples, buy a calculator, return to work, oops it is 4:27pm and time to finish for the day. Monday ticks around and after all the mail is sorted and the staff cannot find the calculator because the purchaser left it in his car that his wife has taken to FL .... See?
If you get dumped with the kids because the Other Parent decides to goof off and still take the money there has to be some recompense. They owe you. And if it isn't all about the money and all for allowing the other parent more time blah blah blah, give up some of the cash... Told Ya!
I wonder if anyone has ever
I wonder if anyone has ever tried this? Sounds like a perfect set up to me ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
