I talked to DH last night (and thank yo u ladies for getting me to do this)...

In my post yesterday I was talking about how overwhelmed I was with all the responsibilities I have.

I talked with DH when I got home and I told him that I didn't want to have to deal with BM anymore. I told him that having to deal with her makes me angry and frustrated and I end up constantly worrying about SD, because BM is such a horrible parent. I will probably always worry about SD and what BM is subjecting her to, but I just don't want to deal with BM. I told him that she makes me want to say mean things, which sometimes I can't restrain myself and do and that that isn't good for anyone. I told him I would remind him that he needs to call SD, but I will leave it up to him to do the calling.

Before anyone jumps on me about reminding him to call his own daughter, let me explain. DH is 28 now, but when he was 19 he was walking home from a party at a friends house. He was jumped in a parking lot and his head was beat in with a steal pipe. They weren't sure he would even make it, but he did (I guess the side of his head swelled up like a soft ball). He didn't come out completely unscathed though. He has a metal plate in his head. He has memory problems and problems with words occasionally. He often thinks only a few days have gone by since he last talked with SD, but in reality its been a couple of weeks.

I've contacted a counselor about my concentration issues. I don't have an appointment yet, but he should be able to do an assessment and determine what, if any, meds would work for me.

I'm not sure what to do about the other stressers quite yet, but it's a start.

Thank you ladies who posted and helped put life into perspective! Much appreciated Smile Smile Smile

YAY! I hope it helps. Now you need to go down to the local spa and get a full body massage. That is the BEST de-stresser!!

If money is a problem, find a massage school and they will do it for 10-20 dollars. It is so great!
