Really long I apologize,
Yesterday early evening we get a call from one of BM's neighbors who knows SO and I well. They are concerned about the kids, for days they have been left outside unsupervised walking into neighbors homes asking for drinks or to hangout (with the adults) and or just playing in the neighbors yards. SO's ds has been seen riding his bike right out into the road (he's 6, no helmet)throwing rocks at animals. They wanted to make sure SO and I would not be mad at them for calling CPS and the police we were both like yes please. Get off the phone eat dinner, and phone rings it their neighbor again I hear screaming in the background, and it's apparently SO's ds he supposedly "tripped while running and fell over a retaining wall, and was unsupervised when it happened" they are taking him to the hospital and "there's a lot of blood". SO texts BM and just asked if he can talk to the kids, no response for 5 min, so he calls leaves a VM of the same 5 min go by he texts her. finally she calls by and puts their son on who immediately starts screaming for his daddy to come to the hospital SO pretends he doesn't already know what happened (we're not giving up our spy)and asked what happened BM tells the kid to "say you tripped" which he does.
SO and I head to the hospital, I go straight to the waiting room, I'm not there to start drama, just be present and so SO isn't "surrounded by the enemy" and has someone with medical insight available. SO is gone for a bit comes out and I go outside with him, he's visibly pissed and vents on how BM and her mother are doing everything they can to push his buttons and BM is trying to make their ds cry by telling him how bad his leg looks! He shows me a picture of the wound and I just see no way it was a simple fall onto a concrete retaining wall it's deep to the muscle without damage to the muscle it's 3 inches long and of course at that long it's gaping 2 inches wide.
He didn't fall any distance but "landed onto the retaining wall it's concrete and stone" what BM told the dr. We go back in and BM walks past me sitting back down in the waiting room, I don't think she realized it was me a first so walked past again to the water fountain, then to the bathroom staring at me so I smiled and stared back.
A few min go by and BM's mom does the same thing. 15 or so minutes go by and BM's bf comes in and goes back to the room then right back to the waiting room (SO told me later he glared at BM and BM, bf then BM smartly threw her bf out told him to sit in the waiting room. So he's across the room from me. I ran into some of the medics chit chatted them and one of the nurses I know and the nurses were NOT liking BM she was very much about her needs and they needed to hurry up because she has to work in the morning (it's 8:30pm) Then BM's brother showed up and apparently tried to stare down SO till SO told him to join BM's brother or he'd ask security to have him do so.
SO is texting me every so often and I see BM's brother come out and pace glare at me, I stare and smile he leaves. I'm talking to a friend of mine who's little one is there sick and we hear SO's ds starts screaming, so I know he's getting the lidocaine (why is it the meds to numb are so damn painful at first ugh) her son looks around wild eyed and asks to leave his ear "doesn't hurt anymore they can leave now." lol
BM's mom comes out gets a drink turns hands on hips and stares, and stares and stares at me, I'm thinking this woman has no clue who she's attempting to intimidate. SO I make eye contact and loudly ask "Are you okay? Do you need a doctor you look like your having a stroke!" in my sweetest sarcastic voice she beelined her ass o the chair next to BM's bf. Who commences to talk to her my mouth about fell open he looks slow, he's been in prison for multiple and a variety of meth charges but that man is fried, he's straight up stupid. I was ashamed I compared him to my own clients! Most of them have more common sense.
After it was all done SO brought his son out to see me and show me his leg all bandaged
(12 stitches) and wanted me to hold him so I did and we talked about school and such and what a brave boy he'd been. BM comes out and SO takes him from me and stands him up and he's hugging my hip BM says "get away from her." SO's ds asks if he can come to our house and BM hissed like cat hissed at him lol. SO explained he had school in the morning the doc said he could go so we'd see him on Friday and we left.
So that was our fun adventure SO is going to check with the school to make sure he went or he's going to go to BM's and get him (he'd likely be in the care of their alcoholic grandpa) So we'll see.
Never had to deal much with BM and her people also didn't realize how much of a hag she is. No wonder the kids are desperate for our attention and approval here they are smart surrounded by idiots.
