It's amazing what I can do with a spreadsheet
I finally got some of the information that I needed.
Then I went and found the publication on child support guidelines.
Then I went to work. I managed to prove that medical bills were paid, with copies of receipts to the doctors and canceled checks for everything that was ever sent to us. This broad tried to say that DH owed her 3K for braces that we paid for already! I found in the publication of KS CS Guidelines that states that BM had to send the invoice within 30 days, have proof that it was submitted to insurance and that she has paid the invoice and that it is a true reimbursement. If she does not it is forfeited. So she can suck it on those.
Then I got on excel and drew it up from day one what payment was made and what the judge now says he owes going all the way back to March of 2013.
Amazingly when I did this, then brought in where she still owes DH from the loss on the house that they sold and our loss on taxes when she claimed him on a year that wasn't her's, Suddenly her $32K grab is down to $4700. Huh... funny how that's even less than I was expecting.
Of course I sent this all over to our attorney and he thanked me for being so organized and documented and said he will be submitting a response though the courts after our call tomorrow. DH owes me big. I just couldn't relax or think about anything else- 32K hanging over your head makes a girl crazy! I know this was all just a money grab since SS turned 17 and the gravy train is about to stop. She had to give it one last shot! Words can't express how much I hate this woman.
OH! I also once again sent a copy of her LPN license that is still active in KS. I sent all her facebook posts about how she got a new job, #Icantstayhome #nurselife, blah blah blah. That along with average LPN pay for her town, the next 2 towns over (one of which is where she actually works) if we can get those imputed figures in there, we might not owe this Bitch a dime!
I am fine settling for a few 3-4K and then moving on with a REAL CS calculation but man do I want the judge to snap on her for submitting false evidence against DH!

Your DH does owe you BIG time
I am happy to hear that after putting all the information in a spread sheet you were able to find out the 32K was so far off and able to relax your nerves. Since BM STILL has not provided her tax information time and time again, missing again another deadline of submitting it, if the judge is a good judge he should just rule that your DH owes her nothing since she was not able to abide by the court's deadline of submitting her information.
This is probably not even including all the plane tickets you bought and SS did not get on the plane and since no one notified you before take off you forfeited the refund or credit from the airline.
My DH is not the most organized and if we were in your situation, it would probably be me putting the spread sheet together too even though he would offer to help, but since I am very type A, wouldn't really be helping. I can have anxiety about the unknown especially if there is a way I can figure out some information so I understand just taking the lead and finding out the info yourself.
Your lawyer should be discounting his rate for all the time and effort YOU put in when you hired him to do his job which would include researching KS child support, etc.
Let's hope the judge is forced to finally make a right decision on this whole matter. Crossing my fingers for you and your DH that the judge just wipes the slate clean since BM can't comply with his orders to get him the info she is legally obligated to do so.

I think that they go over the top in their "asks" aka money grabs, knowing that they might only get a certan amount. It doesnt hurt to ask and Ill bet no one expected you to have the documentation or organization! Excel-lent

I know what you mean about your DH not being organized nor doing paperwork. Chef does not do paperwork so I end up doing it all.
When he attempts to do paperwork, he is so non detail oriented that it ends up flying back in my lap anyways with "further questions." (Ex: job proposals for his business)

Good for you! You and your husband make a great team, and I know he appreciates what you do for him. Otherwise it certainly wouldn't be worth your time, although I'm sure you got a lot of satisfaction from finishing up that spreadsheet.
I really really hope that the judge comes down hard on BM. So far both the judge and your husband's attorney have been worse than useless and your DH has been treated very unfairly, but I guess hope springs eternal. I'm glad for your sake that the little brat isn't coming for spring break. He'll be 18 before long!

Good for you and yeah your DH does owe you big time! I had a bin I kept everything in for Meth Mouth, which is what saved DH's a$$ when it came to all his CS stuff. I really hope your judge sees all this and follows through! Ours did, what drove the price up was the arrears.

If the judge won't accept this and if s/he persists with their first decision, I would let them know that I'd be going to the local media... and follow through.

I had a similar situation many years ago. Had the courts gone with the Nutter BM, we'd have owed over $30K to that witch. So, CajunMom got busy and by the time I was done, walked into the attorney's office with about 6" stack of documents. We won our case...to the point, the BM dropped her case and we settled it with OUR attorney, and how WE wanted.

I have my fingers crossed for you. This sounds like incredible evidence but I'm worried about the judge's biases. Everything seems so unfair. Sorry for being a debbie downer.
The call with the lawyer went
The call with the lawyer went well.
He agrees that I have beyond enough proof for imputed income, especially with her refusal to submit the subpeonaed tax returns.
He is going to draft his response to the court stating that she is falsifying court documents and that a motion to compel will follow suit for every doctor bill since 2019 for contempt and hiding medical information.
He is going to rework the judges calculations with imputed income and flight deductions and submit those along with our payment records and request the court dismiss any arrearages and continue child support starting March 1 at the correct rate.
Who knows what will happen but we aren't playing around.
