The money grubbing has begun

So apparently last time when SO got the CO modified to the new parenting plan, he had them take the daycare costs off his CS and said he would just pay her directly.

She called today because the bill is due and she needs money. I looked at him and said absolutely not. He needs to find out where the daycare is and pay them directly.

So thank you everyone of StepTalk because I probably would not have even thought anything of it if I hadn't come here lol

Well done!

Ive learned after having my own kid that daycare is very expensive.. but when someone else pays 1/2 the bill you dont get to go picking the most expensive option.. PLUS when freakin BM doesnt even work but once a week, WTF would we be paying for a whole week of care? Thats just stupid!

That's the best part! He DIDN'T tell her lol hes's just going to go to the daycare and pay it.

It is the best way to deal with things pay the bill directly if you are responsible for it. BM would call or text all the time for $$ for this Dr or prescription or some thing SD needed. SO would just hand over the money, I even told him she is making stuff up to get money out of you. When he asked who to make the check out to or told her he would pay it directly she flipped the hell out LOL

BM was livid & tried to take DH to court because he refused to pay BOTH the daycare bill & the receipt for the same week.
