Why cant she keep herself entertained?!

H is at his daytime weekend work and I just happen to get this day off. Usually he takes her with him when its his weekends with her because I have work. But hes omly been gone 2 hrs and shes already up my butt wanting me to play with her! Lol thank god my mom (sd calls her grandma lol) is here too and doesnt mind watching her while I try to do some schoolwork. But shes 7 shouldnt she be able to self entertain for atleast an hour?! She can when h is here... Maybe she thinks me and grandma are pushovers haha shes got another thing coming if she thinks im going to be her playmate all day. Aint happening! Only day off, got stuff to catch up on and ive been playing with her all week when I get off work anyway.... Sorry for any typos this is from my phone!

I hear you my FSD is the same way but she is 12. She acts like she is two and FDH caters to her every wish. It is so annoying.

Not that you have time to lok at this now but for next time:

Do a search for family fun website, they have a ton of craft ideas.

Make some homemade playdo or look at way that she can create jewlery. It would be better if you could get it the clay bead type first- might take a little longer.

Or find a science type of set where she can investigate things.

If you do your homework at the dining room table, set her up with an artist pad and a bunch of colored pencils and let her draw "pretty pictures" for Grandma, you and even for BM. Just to keep her busy.

How about anything that will help with school work? Writing pads etc.
Make your schoolwork, also time for her to do "hers".
