OT-Kinda...

So BioDad has decided that he will take BS for Winter Break next week. He will be picking him up this evening. The last time he spent time with him was sometime in December. This is the longest I will be without my baby, who is 7. I feel weird for letting him go. I am worried and just being an overprotective mamabear.
Also, BS doesn't really want to go. And I know why. His Wii, TV, toys are all here. He doesn't have that stuff at BioDad's house. But I want them to spend time together. Plus I can use the break.
So why do I feel this way? Full of anxiety and guilt? How do I ease that? Am I being weird? Help!

No you are not being weird. You are being a good mom! It's hard to be away from your kids. I know that is SO true!!

Pack up your BS a bag with as much stuff as you can fit in it, if you trust the Biodad to send it home that is. Then just have the mommy loves you talk with him! Reinforce how much fun he is going to have, and how much his dad is going to LOVE seeing him! As a mom that's all you can do honey.

((((hugs)))) I'm here for you. I know it's rough.

Enjoy your time G.....and think of it like a kid at Christmas...you'll be so excited about his return that you feel like you just can't wait, but how special it will be when he finally gets home....just like a kid opening up presents Christmas morning.
