Life has been relatively quiet for quite some time. We were granted the restraining order that will last until September 2015. By that time, it will have been in place since May 2013 for a total of 2 1/2 years. Our lawyer told me that if the girls still do not want to see him come next summer and he will look into getting it extended.

When all was said and done, my daughter did NOT have to testify against her dad. He gave up! He never even squabbled about the length of the RO or anything. He just walked away. Our lawyer is under the impression that Ding Dong did not my daughter's testimony on record. He kept asking for continuances hoping that she would be to nervous to testify. Sadly enough, he was wrong. The longer it took the madder she got.

So, anyway, at this time she has no desire to ever see he dad again. I have to admit that makes me sad in one aspect. Children should be able to look up to their parents not be scared to death of them.
