Telephone for you..
Those were the only words spoken between myself and SS21 today. And they were spoken by him to me. He's still pouting I suppose after last nights fiasco. He wanted to go fishing. I was perfectly fine with that. The part I wasn't perfectly fine with was him toting the bottle of vodka out of the house. I nicely made my point. It's illegal to drink and drive, illegal to drink in a state park, DANGEROUS, among other things. He politely stuck it in his bag and headed out the door. After he got home. I checked the bottle. He hadn't even opened it. Is he just pushing my buttons or what the hell?!

I'm not sure what that was
I'm not sure what that was about...BUT I think a good way to diffuse the whole thing would be to ask him to have a talk and let him know that you didn't really appreciate him taking the Vodka anyway, after you asked him not to. But that by the same token, you are proud of him for not using it. Let him know it's still not a good idea for a 21yr old boy to have alcohol on him because authorities already think he's up to no good anyway, but make sure you let him know you are proud of him for being mature enough to not use it. It leaves the ball in his court. He feels empowered knowing that he made a mature decision even if it was on the tail end of a bad one. Its kind of an incentive to one up himself next time. Hope it helps you feel a bit better too.
