OT - Cancer Free!
I just got the call from my doctor this morning, a few days early! What a relief. Although I will probably have to do this again in 6 months when they find something again. I'm hoping they won't since I had the tissue in the problem area removed.
I do have the push for a double mastectomy weighing on me, but I'm just not ready yet. That's something for another day.
I took all the bandages and wrap off this morning, and it isn't as bad looking as I thought. I'm glad I waited and went to the best surgeon in the city; I think the scar won't even be visible once everything heals!
We have SSs for another week and a half, and they've been very sweet (making sure not to jump on me, wrestle me, etc. like they normally do) and quiet (for them) in the mornings and evenings so I can rest. I did get my butt up and shower and came into work today. I probably will leave early...walking the mile here felt like 10 miles! I'm wiped! I didn't think I could handle biking (too bumpy) so I brought out my grandma-style rolling backpack and walked in at a snail's pace!
