I agree!! We ended up having the kids keep the items we buy them left at our house. I have a DD8, and Im astonished at how many BMs send their kids over in very cold conditions with nothing more then a zip up hoodie for a coat!!! Two out of 3 of my skids were here this wkend, 20 or so outside- with Sweatshirts/Hoodies for coats. They Do have winter coats but evidentally dont wear them & BM is always harping about them being sick alot!! I constantly Want to say- umm hello lady? Perhaps they need to keep warm in this cold weather!! Be a Mom & make sure they atleast wear coats!!!!!! But. I just keep my mouth shut!!! Its aggrevating, I know!!!

My skids would come in sweatshirts only too. A few times SD only had flip flops on!!

Honestly, thats what kids want to wear. My DD only wore hoodies when she was in JRHi & HS b/c the lockers were too small for heavy coats, well until she got her lettermans coat. flips, socks, sweats and hoodies. Perfect clothing for the gym rat.

SD stb12 refuses to wear a heavy coat even tho DSO tells her the weather forcast every morning and she walks 5 blocks to sitters after school. short of him sitting on her and putting it on, she wears what is cute or cool (well in her eyes).

BM here is the same way! Why are they all like this?? SS13 came to us last time- in 10 degree weather- in a tshirt and hoodie. No coat. SS8 has on a longsleeve shirt and HIS STEPFATHER'S windbreaker. (SS8 wears a size 5-6 and the windbreaker was a MEN'S LARGE.) Then she wonders why they're both sick constantly. DUH! According to SS13, he wasn't wearing a coat because one of their cats peed on it. SS8 didn't have his because he left it at the mall. (((SIGH)))
