ugh! I survived the SK visit but there's always another lurking around the corner
So DH & I got through the 'Disney Dad' phase & now that we don't just drive through McDonald's every mealtime, it's finally showing DH that his kids are rude. SS4 is still a year away from kindergarten so there's only so much that can be reasonably expected from him, but every meal is a battle. He actually gags on vegetables. If it's not junk, every bite is a fight. Everything with him is a fight, I think he pees his pants around us just out of spite that we have rules at our house. SD7 is always demanding presents from us, whenever I correct her, she sulks. It amazes me how such a pretty little girl can look so ugly when she's pouting. I have got to the point where I pick my battles & since I'm a working mom I'm often away for at least part of the really long visits but what really gets to me is that if BM wasn't off chasing men (she's moved 3 in & out of her house since I met DH 3 years ago, has had another baby & is famous for letting her kids run around her apartment with no supervision while she sits at home doing hod knows what & living off of child support) she could be the one raising her kids instead of leaving it to me & telling them what a horrible person I am. It just sucks. So tonight I'm going to cook my family dinner & be grateful for another SK free day.
