Kids can be so mean
We were sitting around the table tonight when my SD11 tells us that one of her classmates last week was going around telling everyone she's pregnant....she's only in 5th grade. She's an average girl and eats normally, we promote healthiness and she's in basketball. Yes she's a little round around the middle but we are trying to promote healthiness in our house and not to be too worried about our weight. We asked her what she said and she supposedly told the teacher on duty (it happened during recess) that teacher told her to tell her normal teacher, and apparently her normal teacher told her to tell the principal. The other thing about my SD is that she sometimes lies. She didn't seem too upset about all of this. I'm not sure if she's trying to play it off like she's tough and it doesn't bother her or she's just making it up. Either way I'm not sure how to approach this anymore. Do I go to the teacher?

I would send a letter in a sealed envelope to the teacher telling her what you heard about the incident. Ask her to call or write you back so you know it is taken care of.
SD11 said she went to the teacher so if she is being honest the teacher should know exactly what you are talking about. If she lied then some consequences may be needed.
