Oh DH

Please get a spine, testicles, whatever!! To those who have followed the sordid drama, DH's daughter is refusing to respond to dh and has not made any payments on a cosigned student loan. He sent an email to ex asking for daughter's address and her own so dh can start process of emancipating 21 year old daughter estranged also from dh, but he is paying 10 k year college and 10 k child support...oh yeah, right?
So no response from her either. I told dh to send legal stuff to ex's work.......he has that address. His response blows me away......"well I will only do that if my lawyer can't get her address....I don't want to be spiteful."
Are you kidding me? This chick sent you a court motion on our wedding day!! You have shelled out tens of thousands in legal fees and other crap........
I can only shake my head in disgust and frustration. They have no respect for him and honestly I think he has a block where he just can not feel anger, it must paralyze him.
Just needed to vent....thanks.....happy new year. This likely will be the year that all financial ties end to den of she devils!! Ha

The one he cosigned loan is in her late 20's and was in college for like 6 years with no degree to show for it.
The youngest is in college, graduating in May. Hopefully she can be emancipated then. This state one needs a court order to end child(ahem) support. Now if she and her mother want it to continue as she is going to a most expensive grad school.....dh is going to be spending money on lawyers to argue against that. All pretty pathetic in my book, and his daughters behaviors have been so deplorable over the years.
I say to dh send the legal papers to your ex's address. Do not spend a dime on having your attorney attempt to get her address. Dh does have her cell and work address so simply email her that she gives the address or she gets the papers at work. Her choice. Plain and simple.

I am not saying it is a given that they will balk at emancipation upon graduation, but they certainly can, and their past behavior definitely makes it likely they will. That fight would cost big bucks.....
