Sorry - I only have one SS who is 17 and live full time with his mother thank god but I do know there are some on here that have twins - God Bless you!!!!
The other day I was at the eye doctor with SS and a woman and I were talking. She was talking about how well behaved they were being (thank GOD for big screen TV's that play Disney in waiting rooms!!!) and she asked me how they were as babies. I said that I wasn't sure because I wasn't around when they were babies, and she gasped quietly and said "Oh my gosh.. so they are adopted??". Lol. I thought it was funny. I said no, and that I was step mom. She assumed I was their mother because I interacted with them so well and she was shocked that I wasn't.
It felt good to hear that, because sometimes (since I have no children of my own, nor any past knowledge of raising children) I wonder if I am doing everything the "right" way.
My DH and I got a kick out of the adoption comment though!
I have twin stepsons who are 6. They are good boys, despite the hell their BM has put them through. They do have anger issues, trouble expressing themselves... but we get along well for the most part.
Hey! I have stepsons that are twins... but I'm not sure if I can help you b.c. they are 14 years old. I've known them since they were 6. And they hate each other (always have, always will) which is rare for twins (I think?).
I have twin girl 7 yo SDs. They are sweet and try to be nice to me but their mom has PAS'd the older SD's so bad that I figure it wont be long til they are the same way.
I have twin stepsons who are 5(fraternal). They are wonderful and we have a great relationship. Their mom is nuts and jealous and pretends to be supermom. I am doing my best to try to not get upset every time she tries to turn them against us. It hurts every time they say"my house" an they mean their moms house. She has told them they can't tell me they love me, which is so sad. They still slip and say it sometes. Those are good days. I keep praying they will grow up to make up their own minds.
