So last night, DH's best friend (I'll call him Chip) was over and he got chatting about his GF (who has 3 kids). Chip was telling us how the place she lives in right now is not insulated and her electric bill is like $300.00 a month. He said he feels bad but that he is no about to move her in with him right now (he owns his own 3 bedroom house) because her 13YO daughter is horrible. He said she won't pick up after herself, expects her mother to everything for her, is lazy, and has no respect for anything. Chip says, "my lord, if she is like that now, what kind of non-functioning adult is she going to turn out to be??"

Well by golly, DH fell silent... because this is what I have been trying to tell him about his kids SD12.5 and SS11.5. The funny thing is Chip has no kids, but certainly had some words of wisdom for DH to ponder on!!
