Sick of this! Of course SS did nothing to it! It just stopped working for no reason! The last time is mysteriously froze up after he gave it to his camp counselor to keep for him, before that it was that he forgot it was in his shorts and jumped into to water and before that b/c it was just a piece of junk! Whatever! I told DH the last 2 times that he needed to make SS13 pay for the phone and then I bet it will not show up broken! I told him again, that SS13 needs to pay for it and DH said that it should be covered by the warranty b/c it is so soon! If not, SS WILL PAY FOR IT THIS TIME! My mom just gave him $100.00 for his bday! He has the cash!!!! WE DON"T!!!!! Esp. after the amount of money DH spent on his birthday!!!

I feel for you windee. Mainly after your other blog!!

Dont' feel bad. When SS was 16 he got a new I phone. He broke it after 2 months because he was playing hacky sac with it!! He was kicking it between his feet. Dumb kid. BM ran out and bought him a new and better one the same day and she laughed at hoe it got broken. :sick:

Absolutely, make his ass pay for it himself. Guarantee it won't get broken then.

You may want to take the battery out and see if the phone will reset. I had problems with my phone all the time and taking the battery out was the only thing that would work.

If he is responsible for the problem tell him he will get a new one for Christmas if he really needs it.

Why would you replace it? I sure wouldn't and I would have have huge problem with my dh if he did. I would simply tell him that I guess he is too young for a phone or not responsible enough or they wouldn't keep braking!

I would REFUSE to have anything to do with buying him a new one. IF dh JUST HAD to then he can find the money elsewhere other then our household budget! Or any money from our income. It has to be on top of what we bring in.

When Stain broke his phone we paid for it the first time, the second time which was about the same amount of time as your skid, we made him pay for it. He didn't break anymore phones after he had to pay for them. I think he broke them to be spiteful cuz his mom brainwashed him we were rich.

My ds12 has lost one of his phones-we gave him an old phone that we had lying around to replace it. I took both my kids off my plan recently and got them pay as you go phones. They are nice phones-but if they get lost-they get lost. Not saying I would never replace them but it would be in my own time, when I felt like it, and if I felt like they could handle the responsibility. I like this alot better since I am not tied to paying a monthly fee. My ds12 doesnt really use his much. I haent even put minutes on it this mont-but with school starting soon and him wanting to go to events and such I wanted him to have it for safety reasons. My dd13 is on hers incessantly, but she has never lost or broken a phone.
