Opportunity to be in a Lifetime series
Forums:
Hi Everyone,
I am helping Lifetime cast a new docu-series based around the relationships between young step mothers and their stepdaughters. If you or someone you know might be interested in this project feel free to reach out to me here or at [email protected] for more information!
Thanks and I hope to hear from you all soon!
I hadn't even thought about
I hadn't even thought about it like that! Can you imagine the scene when they ask the GUBM to sign a release?
Brian: I need you to sign this release so we can feature your daughter in the show.
GUBM: I always knew my girl belonged on TV. What's it about? Her singing, acting, how wonderful she is?
Brian: Well, actually, it's about the relationships between SMs and SDs...
GUBM: What relationship?? I am the MOTHER. There is no relationship! *dialing ex**
Hello? This Brian guy said they made a movie about my daughter's new mother. I am taking you to court! I am the MOTHER!! **Looks at Brian** I am the MOTHER!!!!
And.... CUT!
Well, it's a work in
Well, it's a work in progress. Maybe I should write my own Lifetime show...

Here's some information for your docu-series
The writers of the Cinderella Story got it all wrong!
Cinderella's Mother didn't die. She was divorced!
Cinderella wasn't being abused, she just didn't think she should have to help to wash the dishes or tidy the house because she was a child of divorce.
she, she's not a real parent.
The step-mother was not evil, Cinderella just didn't like the woman telling her what to do. How dare
Cinderella couldn't wear that old dress daddy just bought her last week to the Ball, she left it at her mothers house and absolutely had to have a new one!
Ugly Step-sisters? They weren't really ugly. In fact they weren't even Cinderella's step-sisters, they were her half sisters. Cinderella was so jealous of them because DADDDDY loved them too. How dare he? Didn't he know they weren't really her sisters? Her mother told her they weren't because they didn't drop from her loins so it must be true!
The Fairy God Mother???? We all know that is really the Bitchy Bio Mother that expects everyone to give everything they have to her and her princess and interferes with everything that goes on in her Ex's home!
Prince Charming? Well we know what head he was thinking with.
We all know Cinderella didn't lose her shoe at the Ball. In fact she lost her virginity.
Cinderella only saw dollar signs when she looked at Prince Charming so she put out.
They get married, have 3 kids, then she asks for a divorce.
She gets child support and alimony until the youngest turns 25and she lives Happily ever after!
Yes, I suppose you are right.

Hmm, I have my doubts. I
Hmm, I have my doubts. I already see an episode coming where Caitlin sits down with the other stepmothers and gives them advice how to be a real step-parent.
They'll be close-up shots of each SM going on and on about how hard she's trying, and then they'll be close up shots of the step-daughters going on and on about how they hate their step-mommy or are faking it, either way--either pretending to love SM to make dad happy or pretending to hate SM to make mom happy.
It will continue to perpetuate SM stereotypes because missing are the two main people who determine how SM gets along with SKs--bio-mom and bio-dad. That's why they ain't interested in old fart SMs (like me!) who know better.
dammit do you take people
dammit do you take people from around the world.....
will I be allowed to swear and drink and tell SD to eff off without being sued?
count me in then....
OH Lordy!!! I love it. I
OH Lordy!!! I love it. I think the new Cinderella needs to be made.
How about - the so-called wicked stepmother, is actually the one wearing rags, and doing all the chores and working her fingers to the bone. Then when daddy gets her new clothes, the little princess gets mad and is insanely jealous and cries that daddy is choosing "wicked, mean" stepmother over her... so daddy buys her a dress too...that's even nicer.
I can see a cool show about the stepmothers and how they take over and try to "control" everything by imposing rules like "put your stuff away", and "its bedtime, why are you still watching tv?" and pick the kids up because BM is choking Boyfriend and Boyfriend is choking BM.
Or how about my favorite: shop for groceries, prepare a wonderful meal, set the table and then announce dinner, and no one stops watching tv, but wants the tray with food brought to them???
