Good afternoon,

I need some advice. Yesterday I was awoke by my stepson with my butt exposed touching it. Im a pretty sound sleeper so not sure how long he was doing this but now how do I go about correcting him and letting him know that this behavior is unacceptable.

Please help

I would sit him down with his father and have a very serious conversation about apporpriate touching and personal boundaries. I hope at 6 yrs old it was just innocent curiosity and not something more deviant.

Yes, he should know.not to. But I kind of saw it maybe being like kids playing "ill show you mine if you show me yours" kids are curious and do things they know that they aren't supposed to. He thought his sm was sleeping and he wouldn't get caught.

We don't know how he was touching her, so its hard to speak to how innocent/deviant it really was.

Deivant behavior...hhmm iteresting. I would think that a six yr old already learned this. He is only with us alternate weekends so we do not get to parent very often otherwise this would never have happened. Cannot really say what is occuring at his BM's house...who knows, they are all idiots over there. I said something to his father last night after we dropped him off. My fiance said I should say something to him just did not want to 'go there' w/o talking it over with him first. My biggest questions is the 'Why' he would think that it is ok to do that...six yrs old...or not

Was he patting you on the butt or trying to tug on your nightgown to wake you up, or was he behaving improperly? I'd wonder where he learned this behavior if you feel he was being inappropriate. Kids that age usually don't do stuff like that unless they saw/experienced it themselves. I think a talk is a good idea.

No when I awoke he was under the covers touching my butt with my ass exposed. I wear sweats to bed, nothing showy or anything. For christ sakes I wouldnt even wear a bathing suit in front of the kid for fear its showing to much, but thats just me. I am interested in wwhat you said about him seeing/experiencing it himself. Do you think it happened at the mothers house as this is the first time this has happened. Now I am very concered that he is doing this to others...oh god!!
