This is just a little vent...I'm just annoyed. For a little background, my sister has cancer and we've been fighting it for over 2 years. It was very advanced when she was diagnosed, and she's already well past the "less than a year" they predicted at the beginning. Recently, her cancer started progressing again. She has tumors in her lungs and many bones. She's not married and has no kids, so I'm one of her main caregivers. She lives with my mom, but she is almost 76 and doesn't like to do that much driving. I go with them to all appointments, help keep track of things, sit with her during chemo, and she calls me whenever she has a question or need. Bottom line..I'm very involved. Now that cold and flu season is here, we have to be very careful about germs. A simple cold could kill her while on chemo.

Well, DH started getting a sore throat, which turned into a really bad cold. He's been very understanding and has even been sleeping in another bedroom to try and cut down on what I'm exposed to. On Thursday, when SS had his visit, SD19 tagged along. You guessed it...she's sick. Seriously? So I explain to her the importance of good "hygiene" while sick...use paper towels, watch where you cough and sneeze, etc.

This is our weekend to have SS13. You guessed it again, he's getting sick. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! DH explained the situation to him. He's pretty much been staying in his room playing video games. I know it's impossible to avoid all germs, but it's more likely to get sick when they're living with you! So, I'm sitting in my bedroom and hiding, hoping the germs don't find me!

Nothing earth shattering...just my boring weekend!
