How involved are your in-laws with the biological parent?

I believe my DH's mom should be civil to my SD11's mother - obviously she is the mom of her granddaughter...but, I feel like she takes it to a whole other level. They call each other and when she is in town they stop by BM's house (when the SD is not home). She constantly comments on what a great mom she is...It's sort of frustrating and annoying....

My in-laws are at a only have to talk to BM when they have to.No one likes her and only put up with her because she is the mother of my H daughter and has visitation.But if she was'nt in our lives no one would care what happened to her she's a nasty 2 faced women with a lot of issues.
