How do/did you keep your skids under control??

Depends on if DH is there with me or not. If he steps up to take care of it then I stand by him and say nothing. But if he is not there, then I say, "Stop _________." If she refuses then I tell her no computer/ipod/etc for that night and if she chooses to continue, I make sure she knows tomorrow's usage is also on the table to be taken away. Should work in theory, but never does because of DH intervention of not following through the next day! Ugh! So frustrating.

What have you tried? What was the result?

I stay away from them. Not very helpful.

I actually dont' try to, but I they are older and I don't have to worry much about them acting too crazy in my house. When SO has something to say to them, I say nothing. I stay out of it. When they do something I don't like, I keep my mouth shut. If they are messing up my house or embarrassing me, that's when I speak up.

Story of my LIFE!! I have rules for my children which they follow. But when it comes to princess........DH "says" what I say goes; but that's a complete lie!! All she has to to is whine and give sad eyes and daddy is putty in her hands. Stupid man. He doesn't even realize he's loosing his family! the only thing I can say is if you DO NOT have your DH behind you------DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH THEM; cause in the end you look like a fool. Sorry; good luck
