Forced visitation

Ginger's picture

Biomom is moving kids out of state at the end of next month. In addition, she also filed petitions to increase support and get back support. She is going back on a verbal agreement. Big mistake by DH and learned a lesson the hard way. He took a large pay cut and rather than go back to court, biomom and DH agreed to cut support. She is now going back to this time period which was 5 years ago and asking for the difference plus the 9% interest. Nothing we can do about it - a verbal agreement will not hold up. So this is going to take some time for us to absorb the costs and unfortunately we won't be able to afford to see the kids for a while. Their visitations will be extended since they are moving over 1000 miles away and the money for child care while we work and expenses for food just will not be there. Their first visitation is supposed to be Thanksgiving break, however, when DH told biomom he could do long weekends as he would not be able to afford an extended visitation until spring break of 08 she said a judge will force visitation. Is this true??
