Diapers?

lil_lady's picture

BM just got snotty with SO because he passed on a note he received from daycare. "SS2 needs pull ups for tomorrowat daycare". We don't have any and are just finishing our huge pack of normal diapers since SO only gets 6 days a month with skids. Because BM has primary access SO pays full child support... so is it just me or should the child support he pays cover the cost of diapers?!. The only reason we have our own is because we bought a huge box when SO had 50/50 access.

SO needs to provide diapers on his six days a months while having his parenting time. It'd be like demanding BM to send rolls of toilet paper for skids usage in your home . Diapers, toilet paper...it's all for the skids butt and a necessity. If the kid is in pull-ups for a while yet SO will want to purchase another package for home.

The daycare is a different story. If BM is the one using the daycare on her time, it'd be her responsibility to send kid with what the center requires to get kiddo through the day. If she doesn't like having to buy pull-ups for the toddler 24 days a month she best get busy potty training Jr moving him up to regular undies. Why would BM expect SO to provide diapers on her time?

Neither here nor there, but as an aside, I'd not had to purchase diapers in over ten years (last for GS for when I babysat him years ago). I swung buy the store to buy some for my niece's baby and went into a bit of sticker shock. Diapers have really gotten expense as has convenient packaged formula. I hadn't been in baby section in ages. Ouch.

CS defiantely covers diapers. It covers DH's responsibility for everything not otherwise stipulated in the CO. The CP BM needs to pull her head out of her ass and provide for her child.

On dad's time dad is responsible for what the kid needs, on BM's time CS covers half (in my country) and the CP pays the other half (ie their SHARE!)

Theoretically that is.

Since last September I have received the grand total of $136 CS (for two children) $30 of that came just yesterday - whoo hooo I feel a spending spree coming on.... NOT

Sorry.
