I dont know your situation, but the best recovery imo is if you follow these steps if possible!

take bread and something to drink with you to surgery. when you get put to sleep, you are not able to eat anything the night before, therefore when you wake up from surgery, you can not take pain meds on an empty stomach. once the pain sets in, its hard to get rid of it. So you wake up, youre like wtf did i do this hurts...the person taking you home shoves some bread and sprite in you and then some pain meds, and off to wonderland you go.

i seriously dont rmember the hour drive to my moms from the surgery place.

Then if its possible, have some one there for 3-4 days straight. clear your schedule, and just lay in bed. get straws and have your someone set a timer to bring you bread/pop tart/etc (something easy to eat) and something liquid, and pop your meds. Then go back to sleep!!

it will hurt when you get up to go to the bathroom, but thats about it. also, you will obviously be laying on your back, because they rip up you muscles to put the implants in, you will lose your upper body strength, you will need some one to assist you in sitting up.

also, have a puke bucket close, you will be eating little and taking meds. when i would get up to go to the bathroom, it would shake stuff around and i would throw up...ugh, not fun.

the good thing is that if you are able to have this schedule, by day 5 or 6 youll be good to go! and you are kept so doped up on the meds you really never remember the pain!
