Having grown up with the expectation that Pittsburgh was a polluted mill town when I finally took the time to drive from Southeastern PA to Pittsburgh a year ago I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful Pittsburgh was. We stayed down town in the Hilton where the two rivers come together, had a great dinner and a wonderful lunch the next day at a incredible little Greek place a block or two from the hotel.

We stopped and spent half a day at Frank Loyd Wright's Falling Water.

All in a all it was a great weekend. I am glad we went. My company just opened a large engineering office there in. I may end up on assignment there some day. I would look forward to it if it were to happen.

Enjoy your beautiful city Witchster.

Happy New Year and best regards,
Rags

and yes, this is a nice town. It's cheap to live here too.

Gob,

The Philly area is insane as far as cost of living is concerned. We moved up here from TX four years ago. The house we bought in Austin for $200K would be nearly a $Mil up here. When my SS decided to try boarding school this year we moved from Glen Mills PA down to DE and the difference in housing costs alone covered his entire tuition for a year.

I would love to give Pittsburgh a try. The city has done a great job in urban renewal from what we saw during our short trip there last year.

So ........ I agree that Pitt looks like a pretty good place to be...... except for that football team that you let use your stadium! Wink

Happy New Year!

Best regards.
