DH 's proven ability to insert foot into mouth
Dh just came back from several days visit with each of his children and grandchildren. For whatever reason he had to mention that he called one of the daughters to ask if she and her children would like to go out to dinner. She mentioned that her teenage children were not home. So, what does dh do? He invites the daughter and her mother out to eat. Really dh you thought this was acceptable? Your children are middle age adults. Your present wife of 15 years did not need to hear this tidbit of information. You divorced this woman 30 years ago. She is the one you badmouth at every opportunity. Just because she lives in the same duplex as your daughter does not make her part of visitation. , you think informing me makes this action acceptable? You not only inserted your foot into your mouth ,you inserted you ass with it.!!!

He seemed to feel it was perfectly acceptable behavior since his middle aged daughter was invited and she said she had her mother with her. Mom lives on one side of a duplex and this daughter lives on the other side.
I was listening to his lovely story about his visit with each of his other daughters, then he goes right into this story of calling this daughter and being told she and mom were together. Unfortunately he can't blame his actions on anyone but himself. That was the time he should have said. Enjoy your visit with mom, catch you later. I was so shocked i had to clarify that it was his ex that went along. When he said yes all i could say was. Stop right there! Not another word. So we are not even speaking at the moment.
