My dd graduated tonight and they had their scholarship announcements tonight too b/c of the weather they couldn't do it the other day,
SO my dd got over 53,000 in scholarships!! So dang proud! The school she choose this will cover all 4 years including tuition, dorm, books and a meal plan! She is majoring in biology! She wants to be a surgeon. So this is her premed! I am just jumping with excitement right now!

Thank you so much. it was a load of relief as there was NO way I could pay for it. DD knew that too, she signed up for as many scholarships as she could. We are still waiting to hear from one. I have been fighting the tears all week. Smile All she needs now is a lap top! I hope she gets enough money to get one.

Thanks ladies and here I thought I was done with the tears and I just put my make up on too. I am tearing up again. thanks

Only thing is that she is taking 16 hours I mean how in the world can she do that??? I have been trying to get her to drop at least one class. She is convinced that she HAS to take that many. :jawdrop:

She has to take 12 her first semester for her scholarships but then after that it is 15 so I think she needs to scale it back for at least the first semester.

Congratulations to you and your DD! Those scholarships are so competitve, she must be a very smart, dedicated and responsible young woman. You should be very proud of her, you clearly have been a supportive encouraging mother :).

Thanks ladies. I am just so proud right now. My friend told me the other night that she thinks someone helped her with the scholarships so I asked her and she said no that she did it all on her own except one and she had a teacher help her that one as she couldn't figure it out. I am so proud to know that she did it all on her own too.
