Sooo, I "met" a guy from match.com
And he is 36, divorced and has NOOOOOOO kids.
We talked on the phone last night and we have a lot in common and I think it's safe to say we are both pretty excited! When I move back home in 4 weeks, we are going to meet and see what pans out. I'm getting pretty excited to get this darn assignment over with now. This guy seems to be everything I've always wanted: educated, cute, childless, wants kids, funny as hell, awesome career, well-traveled, but most important (to me), he seems very humble. It is NOT easy to find this type of guy!
Oh, According to his match profile, he is looking to settle down with a woman who turns into his "best friend" and he looks forward to growing old together and getting goosebumps when he sees her, even when they are in the 70, 80, etc. Awwwwe!!
Congrats! good luck with this
Congrats! good luck with this guy. He sounds wonderful, just be careful. A person can be anyone on the internet.
I know, I know. I'm excited
I know, I know. I'm excited to meet him, but i'm definitely going to be on guard for several dates with him, and if i sense any BS, i'm out! I'm also not going to sleep with him for at least couple of months of steady dating.
So... you don't have kids or
So... you don't have kids or skids right now? Didn't see any blog entries or anything..
No kids and no SKIDS here.
No kids and no SKIDS here. Was in a relationship with a guy who had 2 kids by 2 different women. Found this site to help me deal with his drama. But then we broke up, got back together, broke up again.....and now I"m done. I still visit this site, quite simply, b/c I love it.
I also still come to this
I also still come to this site even though I don't have an sd anymore simply because I've grown fond of this site and the users on it, and even though I don't post much anymore, I wanna see how everyone is doing! Good luck with this guy and I hope he turns out to be a good one!
ladies, you who have
ladies, you who have successfully exited the no-win step scene are always welcome back here to WARN OTHERS!!!
Oh dear... I don't think I
Oh dear... I don't think I could handle 2 BMs. Thanks for explaining, and I hope this guy turns out to be a good one for you!
I met my DH on Match.com and
I met my DH on Match.com and knew we were going to be married by the second date. That was over 8 years ago and still going strong even with the evil BM and the entitled SS - who will be graduating next year and hopefully I won't need to be on here if all goes according to my plan!!!
I met DH on Match.com
I met DH on Match.com too....I knew from the second I met him he was the one. I didn't meet the darling until almost a year later....BM's request. If he had the kid with him when I met him I would have ran!
YAY for RAINDROP! Nice start
YAY for RAINDROP! Nice start Raindrop! Avoid men with children at ALL COSTS! (as you found out) Men with previously enjoyed families are WAAAY too much of a liability in today's world of free ranging, guilty/disney daddy, walking on eggshells with the BM.
DEAD END ROAD! Never again!!
I was thinking the same
I was thinking the same thing. . .VERIFY!
Although most men are so dumb they actually think having previously enjoyed families is a SELLING point!!
Maux, on spokeo it shows I"m
