Summer!
I feel like we have a lot of trolls lately but I think we have 3 that are regular. This is my take on it.
Troll #1. Middle aged SAHM that is a BM that stumbled on this site. She creates names and post to flame the board. But only on occasion.
Troll #2. Well known daily poster, younger female, that hates some of the posters so she creates names to follow them around and annoy them.
Troll #3. This is the cream of the crop. And worse now since school is out in a few places. I think this is a teenage boy or girl that makes up names on a regular (daily) basis and post the most outlandish crap so that them and the buddies can sit around and laugh at all the responders.
You know the type of post…a member for less than an hour. First post is SOOO crazy that it is unbelievable. But we here tend to still believe it. Lol.
Example….”My Wife beat the hell out of my son and I had to take him to get his head stitched up. I love her but what should I do? “ Or…”My DH slapped my 6 year old DD in the face hard. Do you think we need counselling?”
What is your take? Think these are all the same person or just A LOT of bored people that want to flame up an internet board.

I'm of two minds. One, some
I'm of two minds.
One, some people are really just horrible, some are stupid and some are both. Maybe a few of these "crew" stories are actually true. Humans have done worse.
On the other hand, It's as plain as the nose on my face that some of these stories are fake. The ones that really stand out...post multi blogs the very first day, are very aggressive and rude and even say things that are unique to this site like "crew" when are supposedly new members.
And the long time trolls, are really annoying.

Yes, they bloody well are. Why they have not been deleted by Admin is beyond me. :?
i see the pattern you are
i see the pattern you are pointing out but my IDGAF prevents me from paying attention lol!
i take each poster at their word. it would be too taxing for me not to *puts wrist to forehead and fans neck*
ETA - the obvious ones, i just ignore.
You are probably right. I
You are probably right. I don't get it (the why) but it is obvious that there are several trolls.
As for #3, I really don't understand how it would be entertaining for a teenager and friends, they must really be bored.
Maybe not with friends, but I
Maybe not with friends, but I could see it being a anti social stepkid whos pissed off that thier parent dared to remarry.

I don't get what trolling and
I don't get what trolling and arguing online does for someone?
Some research (and please
Some research (and please forgive me for not having it handy, I can't find the original story I read) suggests that social media is as addicting as some drugs. What they did in the study was monitor brain activity and they found that likes, shares, tweets etc all caused a release of dopamine in the brain. All the comments are literally a hit for those who are addicted. It doesn't matter if it's positive or negative, and in these days of anonymity the negative gets more hits.
Summer and holidays always
Summer and holidays always seem to bring out trolls. I don't bother trying to identify who is who because frankly I don't care. I try to give each first-time poster the benefit of the doubt, but I'll stay off of those blogs that are extreme until more details have come out. Once I decide someone is a troll, I just stop posting to them. It's not worth calling them out because it just feeds the drama and gives them what they want.
There is a troll who posts
There is a troll who posts made up stories that are pretty much cautionary tales with the moral: what happens if you disengage, what happens if you don't do xyz for stepkids etc
When interest dies then they add more crap to it. And then eventually post new story under a different name.
Stories often include dogs and cats or other pets and either dog bites or people are allergic to them, vacation ordeal, physical injuries, emergencies like fires etc abuse stories etc all written in the same style. Written by adults not teens. Definitely not SMs Irl though
Some are easy to pick out
Some are easy to pick out others not so much. NOW, ....take GUNNER. I don't believe a word of it. Sorry, I just do not.
He reminds me of a poster a few years ago.... stories would grow and grow AND GROW.
Gunner is the same person as
Gunner is the same person as the one with fire in the kitchen and Boy Scouts shirt and something about kid allergic to a dog. Pretty much same lesson: you better treat skids well or else
Heaven, I have often wondered
Heaven, I have often wondered if that's why some long-time trolls have not been banned.
I have been reading for a
I have been reading for a little over a year now. I read the blogs almost everyday.
I have posted a few times and responded to a few post. I have really learned a lot by just observing. Some of the stories are heartbreaking and some are just BS. There are certain posters you know how they are going to respond to a situation.
LF you crack me up. I think you would be fun to party with. I would never want to be on your bad side tho.. lol. What you said to Gunner yesterday was too funny.
For the most part I really like what most of the posters have to say. If you really listen you get quite a few points of view and can see how you can change the situation.
I see that 'Katie' and her "I
I see that 'Katie' and her "I really need some help. Boyfriend has a six year old." are G-O-N-E.
I just thought she couldn't
I just thought she couldn't figure out how to edit her name out of it so deleted the whole thing. But, could've been a troll, who knows.
Who the heck is Katie? And
Who the heck is Katie?
And what happened to the blog about the husband that kicked the son in the back?
It was actually EOWE she
It was actually EOWE she stayed over at her BF's. The two weekends a month her baby went to bio-daddy's. And neither BF or Katie could get together during the week days because Katie was busy with her baby or BF (who had his 6yr old 50/50) was busy putting his kid to bed....but then Katie started telling her baby daddy was a porn addict but her BF treated her right and she really loves BF and SD.
Troll or not, all I could think was this lady has seen this guy like eight times in four months (EOWE), but was butt hurt he wasn't including her in Father' Day.
" On the weekends he has her
" On the weekends he has her my son goes to his Dad's so I usually stay with my boyfriend and his daughter."
I still have the link open. Missed the porn stuff.
8 times in 4 months. Wondering how old she is. If she's real. Crikey.

I've known fuddies who got
I've known fuddies who got married for taxes. Maybe Katie and hubby/fuddy thought the kid would be another good tax break.
