When Mustang2008 met Medusa and Lurch
So, last week, I sent Mustang the link to the Mustang that Medusa has for sale….over the weekend, Mustang had a little fun with Medusa and Lurch. Mustang and I debated which one of us was going to post the story for your enjoyment, and because she has a very busy day, we decided that I would do it.
So, Mustang texted the number from the Craigslist ad – it was Lurch.
Mustang – Hi, my name is Mustang, I am interested in the mustang that you have on Craigslist. Is it still available?
Lurch – contact Medusa. Medusa’s phone number
Mustang - ok thanks, so are you the owner or is Medusa?
Lurch – her
Mustang – ok thanks!!
So then Mustang texted Medusa –
Mustang – hi, my name is Mustang, I am interested in the mustang you have for sale. Is it still available?
Medusa doesn’t respond, so two hours later…
Mustang – Hi Medusa, I am interested in the mustang posted on Craiglist. I live in MustangTown and I am a mustang collector. Can you give me any more details about the mustang?
Medusa – Sure – what else would you like to know please?
Mustang – Are you the owner? You mentioned clean title, but the ad directed me to a man? So if I was to make an offer and want a smooth transaction in cash, can you sign title?
Medusa – he’s the owner – I’m helping. There is one other person looking at the vehicle and I believe they made an offer this morning. I will let you know tomorrow if it’s still available.
Mustang – do you have possession of the car or him?
Medusa – him
Mustang – ok, thanks, seems weird, he told me you were the owner, so I am confused
Medusa – Sorry, you must have misunderstood.
Mustang – I didn’t misunderstand, he said you were the owner and he gave me your phone number
Medusa – are you worried it’s stolen?
Mustang – why did I get directed to you?
Medusa – he is mentally disabled and I am helping…we normally do not give our personal information like that so not real sure as to why you are inquiring as to that matter.
Mustang – no, I want to deal with the owner, I have cash and want a quick transaction.
Medusa – Ok, then perhaps this is not the vehicle for you. So sorry
Mustang – obviously not
Two minutes later, Mustang gets this text from Lurch –
Lurch – I own the car. I just sold it.
Okay, I don't for one second think that Lurch owns the car, nor do I think it has been sold, since it's still on her store FB page and Craigslist. But, how lovely of her to tell a total stranger that the love of her life is "mentally disabled." He is not - unless one categorizes being with HER a mental disability.
Mustang will weigh in when she gets a chance, but I just thought you all would find this hilarious!!!

I told Mustang earlier today that since we asked for the "sale" documents related to the Mustang in discovery, and since she has always maintained it was sold, even though she would show up in our driveway in the damn car, that she probably assumes that I am somehow behind all of this, BUUUUUUT she needs or wants to sell the car, so she has to assume each contact is a legitimate one }:) }:) }:)

Lurch says she is the owner. If she is, fine, but if she's not, why the lie?

Well then...any chance mustang2008 can drive by and make an offer in person? Or maybe even get her DH to go with her. I think Medusa would do better if Mustang had been a man for her to deal with. I really do hope your DH could get a lawyer or cousin or someone to go buy that mustang back from her if he truly wants it. And even if he wants it just to show BM he got it back in the end anyway.

he doesn't want it back - says it's far too contaminated now. In fact, all of his life he has been driving and restoring Mustangs, he wouldn't buy one now if his life depended on it. THAT is how much she has tainted the memories for him.

She barks at Mustang that she doesn't share personal information, but tells her that Lurch is mentally disabled???? WTF? Really???
Mustang asked why Lurch told her to contact Medusa - because Lurch told her that Medusa was the owner AND gave Mustang Medusa's phone number. THEN, when Mustang tries to figure out why she was directed to Medusa when Medusa tells her that Lurch owns the car, she gets mad at Mustang and tells her she doesn't give out "personal information like that" so she isn't "sure why you are inquiring as to the matter?"
UH - BECAUSE BOTH OF YOU TOLD HER THE OTHER WAS THE OWNER
And, that, my dear STalk friends, is what DH and I dealt with all those years ago.
