Oh, FFS! I just...I can't even
OH, FFS!!!!!
When DH and Medusa were married, DH bought a very expensive Shelby Mustang. He was awarded it in the divorce, but before things were finalized, she and her then f*ck buddy went to the storage space, pretended like he was DH, said they had lost the key and stole it back.
The judge wouldn't order her to give it back but instead ordered her to offset it with the financial settlement. DH wanted the damn car, but lost the argument because uterus.
When she filed for bankruptcy, I discovered that she sold the car to Lurch (for $1) because bankruptcy laws only allow you to keep one vehicle. Yes, I told the bankruptcy court about her fraud. No, they didn't care because vagina.
In the meantime, we KNEW she had it because it sits outside the Medusa Store, the house wherever. Awesome Attorney even subpoenaed information about the "sale" but of course, she didn't produce anything.
A friend of mine was doing her usual perusal of all things Medusa online today and sent me the following message:
Uh, was DH's Mustang a convertible and dark blue?
Sure enough, guess what's up for sale at The Medusa Store??
When I told DH about it he said, "must be to pay that $2500 she was ordered to pay - LOL!"
Happy Friday, everyone

I have considered that and
I have considered that and there is a former Step Talker who is nearby and is going to do some investigation for me
Here's the thing - it was a performance car. She used it as a daily driver. In the winter. In Michigan - ha! I am sure it's trashed.
right - AND she used to drop
right - AND she used to drop the skids off with Lurch driving it.
DH has always maintained that she didn't really want it, she just didn't want HIM to have it. She knew how much he loved that car.
I said, "oh, so then it was kinda like the skids? She didn't want them, but she didn't want YOU to have them, either. I get it."
well you are all too familiar
well you are all too familiar with how she sold all the kids' things online, so you know I can relate. When the Judge (the old judge, not the one they have now) ordered her to let DH back into the house so he could get his personal items - year books, his trumpet, clothes, watches, etc.
When he got there, she told him that she put all his things in boxes and put them in the basement and, what are the chances, the basement flooded. His attorney filed a motion, but the Judge said "well if she says they were ruined, then I guess they were ruined."
Of course, DH later found out that she had sold all his things, including his watches and other jewelry.
My guess is that as soon as
My guess is that as soon as her bankruptcy was discharged, she had Lurch sell it back to her for a dollar....
I printed off all the information (she has listed it on Craigslist, also) and forwarded it on to Awesome Attorney so that when he has to show cause her for not paying the fees to him, he can use the car (and hopefully, its sale) as evidence
The best thing would be if
The best thing would be if your friend buys the car for you, and transfers it to you afterwards. And then you and DH drive it to the next court date and make sure she see you in it with your AA.
I love this!

BM here SOLD everything of
BM here SOLD everything of DH's. He went back a week after he had moved out to get his camper shell for his truck, and his tools. It was all gone. Every last item. SOLD. And then was trying to demand he pay 1/2 of her living expenses on top of child support. (they were married for 6 months, and she lived in that apartment alone before DH moved in). He laughed in her face and said "use the money you got when you sold all my sh*t". Never heard word one about it again.
When my Aunt and Uncle
When my Aunt and Uncle divorced he took her mothers china. It wasn't worth anything but it was the only thing she'd gotten when her mother (my Grandmother) died.
In the divorce agreement he was ordered to give it back to her.
He put it in a box, loose, no wrapping paper of any kind. As he was walking up to her house with the box he dropped it. Said ooppps, clumsy me, picked it up and dropped it again. My aunt ran out to pick it up in tears. Never in my life have I met such a dick. He was always a total ass but that day he showed just how evil he was.
Me, my mom (her sister in law), two of her other friends, his kids and a bunch of other kids were there and saw the whole thing happen. He didn't care at all. My mom said to her that she made the right decision in leaving him and this just proved it.
Okay - your uncle and Asshat
Okay - your uncle and Asshat must be the same person.
My great grandmother had these crystal lamps. Brought them with her from freaking Poland. I thought they were hideous, but my mom looooooooved them. Asshat loooooooooooooved them, too, and managed to convince my mom to let us have them when we first moved in together. Uh, okay, but they can't be anywhere I can see them. DH put them in the office and I hardly ever thought of them again.
When Asshat and I divorced, we divided family things up along family lines. That meant that he got the (Stickley) dining room table and chairs, the matching buffet, this really awful antique table and some other things. I, of course, got the lamps. Not that I wanted them, but they stayed in the house. Or so I thought. When I said that I didn't give them much thought, I was serious. I didn't even check to make sure they were still there, because I really cared that little about them.
A few months after Asshat moved out, my mother called me and asked if I could bring the lamps back to her. SURE!!!!! I ran up to the office and they were not there. I yelled, "that asshole. Took the f*(cking lamps".....Thing2 was in his room and heard me. He was 4. He came in and said, "what are you yelling about?" I told him that I had misplaced some lamps. He said, "you didn't lose them, Dad has them."
My mother asked him to return the lamps to her. He ignored her. She filed a small claims case against him and won. He was ordered to return them. He did. In a big box. With no packing materials. Parcel Post. With no indication that fragile items were in the box.
Now, he could have brought them to my house on, I don't know, ANY weekend he picked up the kids, to have me give them back to their rightful owner. But, no. He wanted to hurt her and shipped them to her. When she opened the box, the lamps were smashed into pieces. Oh, and no, he didn't put any insurance on the shipment.
Some people, like Asshat and Medusa, are just dicks.
Yep, those narcissistic asses
Yep, those narcissistic asses that don't quite break the rules but they bend them to the point where you can't do anything reasonable about it.
Sometimes Karma works however.
My Uncle became a long haul truck driver and there was no one to look after his mother, she had to be put into a home.
She had always treated my Aunt terribly but as she got old, my Aunt was the only one who would visit her. She ended up giving her China and antique quilts to my Aunt along with a substantial inheritance.
My Uncle was livid and tried to fight it but it wasn't even something that was done in a will. She'd given my Aunt the items while she was still alive and the people at the home said she was in her right mind when she did it!

Hahahahahhaha you just made my Friday!
Interestingly enough, it's
Interestingly enough, it's Awesome Attorney (who with one exception only represents men) who first taught me "because uterus" and "because vagina."
He says that sometimes, it's the only reason he can think of for some of the decisions he has seen - lol!
LMUOOH--- laughing my uterus

On the flip side when your male clients are being treated unfairly you should simply turn to your client and say "because penis, sorry".

Yup, it is crappy. And sadly it happens WAYYYYYY too often. I was half kidding in that comment. The other half was me imagining the judge looking like an idiot when it is said over and over again.

The car was very expensive. DH took a loan with a short term because he wanted to pay it off quickly. Accordingly, the payment was high. During the settlement process, she kept repeating that the $800 car payment DH was making on the car was actually for two cars, because everyone knows a) uterus; b) vagina; and c) because everyone knows that banks will let you take out one loan for two cars....duh!!
Anyway, DH and his attorney had a copy of the loan paperwork and payment coupons with them in court. The Judge said, "hmmm,, $800 sounds too high to be for one car." Because, penis.
DH said at that moment, he knew that as long as this Judge was on their case, he was f*(Cked.
sooooo many judges want to
sooooo many judges want to get stuff off their desks because asshole and just want to get home because vagina and boobs
